WILMINGTON, N.C., THURSDAY, JUNE 26, 1862.
The Armies at Richmond.
The indications at Richmond are such as point to early and decisive movements of the most important character. It is always hazardous to speculate upon the occurrence of events with all the circumstances of which we are not fully acquainted, as also with the plans of the leaders on both sides.
We have nothing further or later from our agent than the dispatch published under the telegraphic head, yet we may expect to receive the most important news at any moment. We feel almost certain of doing so, if McClellan will only accept battle, in which event we entertain the fullest confidence of a brilliant success to our arms. Whether the issue be joined to-day or to-morrow, or at some future day not distant we can only keep quiet and patiently await the developement of results. Our own opinion, from the best information we can obtain, is that the contest at Richmond will be decided within the next forty-eight hours.
