The Historical Overlay Map display was developed in the Carolina Digital Library and Archives for "Going to the Show," a project documenting the experiencing of movie-going in North Carolina in the early twentieth century. "Going to the Show" was funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of North Carolina.
