Abstract: Bryan and Minor families of Georgia and Virginia, descendants of Jonathan Bryan. Scattered family letters, 1807-1918, of the Bryan and Minor families; Bryan family Bible records; reminiscences of John Randolph Bryan’s experiences in balloon reconnaissance for the Confederate Army during the siege of Yorktown in 1862; and thirteen volumes of Bryan and Minor family records, chiefly consisting of typed transcriptions of biographies, autobiographies, and letters, including reminiscences of a former slave and servant, and relating to religion, education, household affairs, slavery, freedmen, plantation economy, and other aspects of 19th- century Virginia life.
