Abstract: Personal and professional correspondence of and about Goldberger, physician, medical researcher, and epidemiologist with the U.S. Public Health Service, 1899-1929, concerning his field work and research in connection with pellagra, and with typhus, dengue, yellow fever, and other epidemic diseases throughout the southern United States, Mexico, and the West Indies. Included are letters from Goldberger to his wife, Mary Farrar Goldberger of New Orleans, her papers after his death concerning his biography, and two scrapbooks of clippings and photographs.
